Procrastination...

While procrastinating successfully puts off what I don't want to do, what I need to do always gets done...eventually.

The visit home was perfect. I could have spent a little more quality time with Classy and my mom, but other than that was nice. No shopping marathons and no excessive drinking. Lots of encouragement for our new kick ass bodies, though.

I spent some time with my father, which is always sort of awkward, mainly because he's an awkward man, but also because I have resentment towards him that is hard to get around sometimes.

Also, spent some time with my mom's side of the family. We seem to be getting along just fine after a year and a half without my grandmother. I was explaining to my father that it's weird to lose the Matriarch of your family. It's almost a lost sort of feeling because we have no guidance of how to act and even think sometimes. Of course that sounds funny, because we know how to act, but it's just weird. I wish that I could articulate what I mean more easily. Lots of laughing and loving on babies, though. My cousin had twins last month and they are every bit of precious that you could possibly imagine--even though my cousin (their mother) is slightly insane (which could perhaps be an understatement).

The anxiety is starting to hit that I think hits all graduates. It's not that I'm nervous about graduating (maybe a little--and maybe just anxious about all of the questions to come), but it's mainly about all of the stuff that has to be finished before the big day. I'm supposed to be writing a paper right now, you see. However, I am not, obviously. It's easy and I love what I'm writing about, but I feel like these keys on my keyboard are extremely hard to press down and I can't get my thoughts out. Senior-itis is what they call this, I think. This semester has been awesome and I've loved all my classes, but finishing is super hard. I have 3 weeks left of classes, then 1 week of exams, then graduation. Eeek.

And if I couldn't complain more, work is really sucking right now. As I've told you before, I've been trying to transition completely to serving. My scheduling manager, however, has not been working as hard to make that transition happen. Long story short, I'm not getting the shifts I wanted, and it sucks. Don't f with my money. AND I'm trying my hardest to go to Savannah, GA after graduation with some family, but my mother informed me today that, if I don't have the money to go, I might have to make a sacrifice and stay home. Boooo. Happy Graduation to me. I know I can't complain a whole lot because she took me to Cali, but c'mon. So you can see my financial dilemma.

So thanks for being my stress-relievers tonight. Even if this post was super boring and really hard to follow, I thank you all!

Wish me luck....I need all I can get.

Bad Blogger Bad.

Oh man. I'm so sorry. Life has been crazy.

California was f-ing amazing. Without it, I'm not sure I would have made it through dead week and finals.  Either way, the week before finals (dead week--which is supposed to be the week of nothing but ironically is the week that everything is due) was crazy.  So many papers etcetera were due.  Finals week wasn't so bad, but I spent the whole time working and cleaning my freaking house so that I could have TWO parties. Yeah I'm a  badass host.  Take that parties!

Thursday night was a PJ party with the work people.  Too much drunkeness ended with Krystals.  If you don't know what they are you should.  Exactly the same thing as White Castle, but more incredible.  Just kidding.  I've never had White Castle.  Good party though.

The bf graduated Saturday... SCARY... grown-up time!  So of course, there was a grad party with a keg.  Good party.  Me and 15 other guys.  I'm a pimpess!!! Lots of drunken time.

Sunday, more drinking.  I love rummy (the game, not my nickname for Rum, just the game).

Monday.  Work party.  Whoa.  Progressive Dinner and lots of alcohol.  Needless to say, I needed a ride home, 6 different types of alcohol----wine, champagne, vodka, beer, jack, vodka.  It was quite intense, but quite awesome the next day... cause NO HANGOVER!

So I immensely apologize for my absenteeism.  I've drank way more than I should, but had an awesome past 2 weeks.  My reader is on overloaded so much so I've started using a different browser.  There just hasn't been TIME! Curses.

I promise more  blogging to come.  And this time, I promise, these aren't empty promises!

I really plan on blogging more because it's such a stress reliever.  I definitely have catching up to do.  I hope that everyone's Thanksgiving was great... and I hope everyone's holiday season is fab too!!

Going home next week.  Get to see the bestest.  It's been so long...Woo!

Have  lots to update about the BF.  Hopefully starting serving after the holidays... money money money!  Working out more with a good friend from work...nickname later.

Love you all!

Almost there...

I'm sitting in the library waiting for my next class and I can hardly stand it that by this time tomorrow I'll be on a plane on my way to California!

I'll be sure to post some pictures when I get back and depending on the internet situation, I might be able to post a few times while I'm there, we'll see!

So...I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving!

And think of me in warm and sunny California!!
