Crunch Time...

So...with only 33 days left until the day I graduate and 12 days of class left, it has officially become crunch time. If you read mine and Classy's Co-Blog, you'll find my other exciting news of 14 lbs lost in the past 2 months. My goal, is to lose about 7-10 more by graduation, so we'll see how this next month goes.

Easter is this weekend as I'm sure most of you know. So... I will be reunited with my dear friends once again. We're all doing this weight loss thing together, so it's so fun to sit around and talk about our progress. This is definitely the way I recommend losing weight. Even though my support system is so far away and visits are far and few between, we manage to keep each other motivated. I love my friends.

Watching the American Country Music Awards, which I'm sure Classy will give you a full run down of, and making fresh salsa and salad! Hope your weekend was fantastic!

What a week!

This week has been absolutely crazy. I felt so pms-y and I'm not even pms-ing. I've just been really emotional. I've cried twice at work this week, it's ridiculous. The first was because we got some crazy snow and ice and the whole parking lot was covered. I was terrified of driving home because, here, we don't get ice and snow much. Consequently, I've never had to learn to drive in it. So I practically, in tears, begged my manager to go home. The second time was tonight. I was basically told that I wasn't doing a good job of running a wait at the door and that two other bitches could do it better than me. I was really insulted because I'm the best damn host they've got. Boo.

And can we talk about Grey's Anatomy??? I cry every time I watch that show. What. The. Hell. Is that the goal of the writers? What plot can we do to make people bawl? Oh well, I'm addicted and can't stop watching just like, Private Practice, Nip Tuck, Kath and Kim, The Office, and 30 Rock. Whoa. I'm a tv junkie.

Anyway, I ended up working out on Tuesday, but in turn forgot about my work study job in the women's studies department. Oops. Wednesday we got snowed out of class, which is funny because there really wasn't much need to. The workout itself was amazing. Haven't been back since Tuesday. Will try tomorrow.

But in general the week was not as dreadful as I had anticipated, just emotional. Ha.

Tomorrow is my day off from everything. No class. No work. Monday night should be my last night of training and then I will switch to hosting. Probably not immediately and probably not completely, because they need me. I hate that.

GUESS WHO'S BACK????

Sir Jerkoffalot.

I couldn't believe my eyes. I walked up to him and was all like "Weeeelcome back to this hell hole. I thought you were leaving it forever." He tried to act all like, "Ohh.. I didn't really want to come back but it was better blah blah blah." Shut up already. He actually went an entire shift without sexually harassing me, I was quite surprised. I got my hopes up too soon, though. I worked with him tonight. 2 comment about my boobs, 1 request to go make out, and 15 comments about how he loves me. Ridiculous.

So, hopefully more blogging in the days to come, but if this week is anything like last week, then that might not happen. Will life be eternally busy like this? I surely hope not. I'm only 22 and I'm f-ing exhausted!!!

Happy Weekend to you all!

Slightly overwhelmed...

Have I mentioned that life is kicking my ass right now? The sickness that I have is an obvious reason, but why is it that I dread this upcoming week? Probably because I have to spend 4 nights of it at a restaurant that runs horribly, but I stay because it makes me stable financially. I wish I could go to school without having to worry about work, but such is life. Sadly it's not even the school work that's overwhelming! I'm loving it. Also, the numbers on the scale have gone up and I'm trying to figure out how a trip to the gym will fit in my ridiculous schedule.

Tomorrow I'm on campus from 10:00a until 7:00p with a couple of hours in between. The workout could potentially happen between one of my classes, which is probably how that's going to work, but by the time I get home, I'm exhausted. Last Monday I was asleep by 10:30, which is early for me. It's sad that 10:20 is early. On a normal night, when I have to work until 12:30, I'm not in bed until 2:30 sometimes 3:00.

It's those extra pounds that are my motivation to get to the gym, but I keep asking myself, "What's it gonna take?" I'm only blaming myself, but I constantly have excuses. The main one being my exhaustion. I know, getting to the gym will energize me and will be fulfilling in so many ways, but again, it's getting there.

Feeling better sinus infection-wise, but definitely not 100%. I read something today that said when you have a sinus infection, sometimes it helps to work out--it clears your head. I don't work tomorrow night, so that's relieving, but for some reason it's knowing at the end of the week, there isn't relaxation like everyone else gets on the weekend. It's only chaos and stress because hostesses get shat on. Funny how they control the business out front and are the face of the restaurant, but they get some much crap from servers. Still two more training sessions to go till I can be a server.

So, in closing my late night pity party, wish me luck this week.

Bad Blogger Bad.

Oh man. I'm so sorry. Life has been crazy.

California was f-ing amazing. Without it, I'm not sure I would have made it through dead week and finals.  Either way, the week before finals (dead week--which is supposed to be the week of nothing but ironically is the week that everything is due) was crazy.  So many papers etcetera were due.  Finals week wasn't so bad, but I spent the whole time working and cleaning my freaking house so that I could have TWO parties. Yeah I'm a  badass host.  Take that parties!

Thursday night was a PJ party with the work people.  Too much drunkeness ended with Krystals.  If you don't know what they are you should.  Exactly the same thing as White Castle, but more incredible.  Just kidding.  I've never had White Castle.  Good party though.

The bf graduated Saturday... SCARY... grown-up time!  So of course, there was a grad party with a keg.  Good party.  Me and 15 other guys.  I'm a pimpess!!! Lots of drunken time.

Sunday, more drinking.  I love rummy (the game, not my nickname for Rum, just the game).

Monday.  Work party.  Whoa.  Progressive Dinner and lots of alcohol.  Needless to say, I needed a ride home, 6 different types of alcohol----wine, champagne, vodka, beer, jack, vodka.  It was quite intense, but quite awesome the next day... cause NO HANGOVER!

So I immensely apologize for my absenteeism.  I've drank way more than I should, but had an awesome past 2 weeks.  My reader is on overloaded so much so I've started using a different browser.  There just hasn't been TIME! Curses.

I promise more  blogging to come.  And this time, I promise, these aren't empty promises!

I really plan on blogging more because it's such a stress reliever.  I definitely have catching up to do.  I hope that everyone's Thanksgiving was great... and I hope everyone's holiday season is fab too!!

Going home next week.  Get to see the bestest.  It's been so long...Woo!

Have  lots to update about the BF.  Hopefully starting serving after the holidays... money money money!  Working out more with a good friend from work...nickname later.

Love you all!

Pump Up the Jam!

For the past few days I've been trying to slowly get back into the gym. I started on Friday going for 15 minutes, then Monday I went for 20 minutes. Today, I did a full 30 minutes of cardio. Next time, which is probably going to be Thursday, but I would love for it to be tomorrow, I'll try to stay at that 30 minutes and then add weights.

Picking music for my iPod that I like to work out to is always fun. A song that is the perfect work out song that takes me back to the days of middle school and Jock Jams is Pump Up the Jam by Technotronic. It's perfect! How could you not love the beat from 1989. Amazing.

Sadly this isn't on my iPod, so instead the song that got me going was 100% Pure Love by Crystal Waters---I know, I'm lame. We've established this several times before. But listen to it and try not to move around, tap your foot or snap your fingers. Okay, maybe not snap your fingers. Besides, who does that anymore? Ha. Either way, I hope these songs brought back fond memories, because they did for me!
Ah, middle school.

Another thing...

Exactly why do women go to the gym with dangly earrings on? strong perfume that smells like they sprayed it on themselves before they came in? make up?

And why are the only colors of workout pants black? I think I'll go into the business of making bright colored workout pants. Let's get back to the 80's

Okay, maybe not the leotards and spandex, but C'mon black is so boring!! Maybe it's because people don't want to be noticed at the gym or something, but I want fun workout clothes!

Note to Self

Self,

When you go and do cardio for 30 minutes and then arms and legs on weights, it might not be a good idea to come home and manually mow the whole yard.

Thanks.

The guy who mows our yard is a bum who lives next door and our slumlord is paying him to do it. Well, it's time for the lawn to be mowed and he still hasn't mowed it. It was nice enough and cool enough to do it, so I took advantage of the circumstances. Now, after not wanting to leave a job half done, I am dripping in sweat for the second time this afternoon and I got a second workout on my arms and legs. I'll be hurting tomorrow. At least it was environmentally friendly mowing! :)

I ♥ New Socks

Today I'm going to attempt to get out of the funk I've been in. For the past week or so I've been exhausted. Any chance I've gotten I have taken a nap. I'm not getting sick (at least I hope not), but I'm just so tired! It has nothing to do with the fact that I'm working 20-25 hours a week and taking 15 credit hours! :)

Today I'm going to start drinking lots of water and this day will mark the first day of starting to work out again. I was pretty good toward the end of last semester. I would go work out 3 times a week and then the summer came and I stopped. I even paid $50 to the gym at school so I could use my membership over the summer. How many times did I go? Maybe 3 or 4 times. Definitely got my money out of that, don't ya think?

So, a new pair of workout pants (I wore holes in my last pair. Definitely not from working out. It's bad when your workout pants become your "fat pants".), new socks, Alice Sebold's book Lucky, a charged iPod, and a bottle of water and I'm ready to hit the elliptical and weight machines! I'm going to try really hard to keep up with this. I've pretty much got my routine down with homework, so I should be able to put 3 days of workouts in, right?
