Done!

The madness of exams and graduating is over!  I graduated last Saturday and I've spent the past week traveling between home and Georgia.  My fam and I visited Atlanta's Coke Museum and Aquarium.  Super fun!  From there we drove to Savannah and ate and drank toooo much.  We had to make it to Paula Deen's restaurants and oh my god was the food amazing.  We ended up in an Irish Pub that night listening to a handsome irishman sing folk songs.  So fun!  I've spent the rest of my week, here, in my hometown--eating and drinking too much.  It's been a good time!

More blogging to come!

Almost there...

I'm sitting in the library waiting for my next class and I can hardly stand it that by this time tomorrow I'll be on a plane on my way to California!

I'll be sure to post some pictures when I get back and depending on the internet situation, I might be able to post a few times while I'm there, we'll see!

So...I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving!

And think of me in warm and sunny California!!

Wow.

Where exactly has this year gone?

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is this week and in a little over a month we'll be celebrating the new year.  WTF?

Again, I'm sorry for the absentee blogging thing.  I suck, I know, don't need to remind me! :)

What have I been doing?

Lots of working.  Lots of school crap. Lots of sleeping.

Still recovering from the plague, but feeling lots better than I was last weekend.  I gave up my shift tonight so I could work on homework, but in pure procrastinator fashion, I haven't started on any of it.  Instead, I've been cleaning.  Much needed cleaning.  My living room is now, the only room in the house that is completely clean, save vacuuming the carpet.

The BF and I got a new entertainment center a few months ago and it has become a crap hole for....crap.  So, I spent the evening listening to good ole' Miles Davis and dusting, relocating, and organizing things.  I also tackled the mantle over our fire place, which also becomes a crap shelf.  Moved some furniture around and am now enjoying a nice glass(es) of a Shiraz Cabernet blend while cleaning my computer room.

So productive!

The BF is cooking dinner tonight.  Steak, Sweet Potato, & Asparagus....Mmm.

Will probably be spending the rest of the evening by myself after dinner.  Man-Poker-Night must ensue.  But, I don't mind at all, I'm not as productive when he's around! Love him, but it's the truth!

Hope the weekend is going well for ya'll!

More blogging at the request of Classy, I promise.

I've been MIA... I know

Death has indeed attacked me this week. When I posted a little bit ago about getting sick, I thought that I had kicked it in a short amount of time, but alas, I did not. Maybe this is my body's way of telling me to take a time-out. So, it basically shut down. For the past 48 hours I've done nothing but lie on the couch/bed drinking hot tea and water, and eating chicken noodle soup---not to mention all of the vitamins, mucinex and ibuprofen I've ingested. Today, I feel a lot better, but not completely. This week is going to fly by, I know it. Only 9 more days until I'm in the great state of California soaking it up (it being vacation, wine, food and good company). I have lots of homework before this can happen, but there is an end in site--a much needed vaca.

I promise to do a little catch up this week and post some of the things that have been cooking in my head.

Also, I realize I've been bad at not acknowledging the many awards I've received in the last month! I apologize! Recompense to come, I promise!!

I hope your week/weekend has been fantastic!!

In my last post about California, I made my mother and myself sound like a couple of Alchy's! We will be doind other things besides drinking...like eating. And we will visit other cool places, not to mention the time we'll spend with my uncle and his wife. Coolest people ever. For realz.

Anyway..

Happy Tuesday! It's my day off from the restaurant! Too bad I will have spent the whole day working in the Women's Studies department and doing homework. Woo. :)
